This song was on replay in our car when my daughters were little:
O be careful little eyes what you see
O be careful little eyes what you see
For the Father up above
Is looking down in love
So, be careful little eyes what you see
“I’m gonna put a praise on it! So, I gotta put a praise on it!”
I love that song by Tasha Cobbs Leonard! I’m dancing in my chair as I write.
Want to know a secret? My shower time is filled with praise, worship and prayer. I’m jamming in the shower! I envision me among the heavenly hosts singing to the Heavenly Father. Doing line dances. Jumping and leaping in the presence of the Almighty!
I love the Mission Impossible movies. I watched every last one of them. I can watch them again and again. Except the third one, that wasn’t my favorite.
The best one was Rogue Nation. The motorcycle chase scene between Tom Cruise’s character, Ethan, and Rebecca Ferguson’s character, Ilsa is a nail - biting action sequence. I admit, I imagine myself as Ilsa.
What is consecration?
To make or declare sacred, to dedicate formally to the service or worship of God; Oxford American Dictionary.
I am taking 30 days away for a time of consecration. The Lord is doing powerful work within me. I must dedicate some time away from the internet and social media to focus on what Jesus is doing in my life. Freeing me so I can help others be truly free in Christ.
Social media sometimes brings out a covetness nature in me. It draws away valuable and priceless time from my purpose and destiny God has for me. Jesus is first in my life. I need to put these earthly things aside to focus on the Name above all names, the Creator of all things and Ruler of everything - Jesus Christ.
During this break you can read previous blog posts, purchase a copy of WORTH MORE THAN DIAMONDS, or do your own consecration. If you decide to do your own consecration make sure you journal your thoughts, His thoughts, the scripture passages pointed out to you and other key breakthroughs you receive during this sacred time. Then go back through read and meditate on those things periodically so you can stay on the right path.
I pray you are able to have a time of consecration for God, sooner than later. He is worth it. Thanks for reading! Love ya.
Be the She Who Honors check! Last December I hosted the five - week Be the She Who Honors challenge. It focused on five ways to honor to God in our lives.
How are things going? Are you being the She (or he) Who Honors God with your all?
When is the last time you sat in silence listening to or for God’s voice? No phones, kids, husband, work, housework, books, tv, computer, pets and music in the background. If you take longer than five minutes to think about the answer, you are in dire need for stillness, solitude and silent time with our Lord.
Happy August! It's time for a much needed break here at She Who Honors. Find out why...
I’m taking an online certificate course: Become a Thought Leader on Lynda.com from Linkedin. The powerful first lesson, the class name sake, provided me with evoking information on how to become a change agent. A transformation ambassador for God’s kingdom.
