Secrets To Fight Fear
I stand in a kickboxing stance with boxing gloves on. I stare at them squirming on the ground. Fear is down for the count. The spirit of deception is bound and gagged. No need to be afraid anymore.
Since the beginning of this year fear started to pull rank in my life. Last year around the same time I got delivered, freed, from some evil spirits I knowingly and unknowingly gave access to. Sins committed or done to me. (I will do a post on my deliverance story, soon). My freedom started a chain reaction. My transformation sped up. I realized my spiritual gifting and started learning how to develop them more. I joined some awesome Kingdom minded groups. The reality of the Kingdom of God became manifest in my life and those around me.
The enemy got scared. I’m dying to the world and its foolish ways. He doesn’t want me to understand the truth of my authority in the kingdom.
Father God is accelerating things this year for me and many in His kingdom. He’s uncapping my lid this year. I’m told I’m like a Pepsi bottle ready to explode by various people. My passion for Him and His kingdom can’t be contained anymore. It’s flowing more and more. Nothing can stop me. The plans Father God will be done.
Because of this acceleration the enemy is getting scared. And I am, too! Unnecessary fear started to come upon me last month. Feelings of unqualified, imposter and other lies assault my mind. In preparation of a program to help other sister’s in Christ find freedom and breakthrough, the toxic feelings popped in my mind. Who am I to help set others free?
The Holy Spirit used a post in one of my groups to check me. In short, a wise member wrote (paraphrased) when we start getting paralyzed about our writing, offers, etc. we lose focus. It’s not about me. I need to serve and give to others.
Duh!
My focus was on me - a pity party. I’m serving to help others be free from whatever’s holding them down.
Then He led me to this scripture:
“Everything we could ever need for life and complete devotion to God has already been deposited in us by his divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing him who has called us by name and invited us to come to him through a glorious manifestation of his goodness.” 2 Peter 1:3 (TPT)
This truth melted my fear. On Sunday one of my favorite pastors, Dr. Mike Plunkett, spokes little about fear. He said, we need to understand we mean everything to God. Yes! After hearing his sermon, I wrote in my journal: Instill fear in me Holy Spirit. Increase my humility and break down pride (another culprit). Thank you! Overflow with your love so I can pour your true love into others.
“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18 (NIV)
Fear flew far from me on Sunday. Jesus, the perfect love, lives within me. Fear cannot stay. I have the authority Jesus gave me.
Is fear your friend? This relationship must be kicked to the curb.
The secrets to fight fear is knowing and understanding the truth about Jesus and you! Speak these out loud: the perfect love of Jesus is within me and around me. I am called, qualified, justified, glorified through Jesus. I give Jesus my cares, he got me. Everything I need to live a godly life is within me!
Do that thang God created you for. Someone is waiting for your solution to their problem. Give and serve with a loving heart - fear hates that!
“And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.” Romans 8:30
