There is a tried and true solution for all these situations. A simple thing as easy as the two step.
The answer is exercise! Any form of movement to get your blood flowing. Transporting more oxygen to your brain cells and other body parts. Walking, dancing, aerobic class, running, jumping, Zumba...what ever your heart desires.
I love how exercise makes me feel. My brain clears up so ideas pour in. Endorphins are released making me feel good. I sleep better.
I'm sure you have read or heard the countless scientific studies supporting exercise and better health. Movement is a no brainer.
Exercise is one of my favorite ways to get ideas for blog posts, books, new ventures. However, it's my best way to hear from God. The rush of blood, endorphins, focus on the activity or what ever it is, I seem to get so many visions, clarity and ideas during exercise. That's probably why I love it so much.
Exercise is a form of worship! If I'm not taking a class, I listen to Christian Hip - hop, upbeat praise and worship music or one of my favorite pastors while exercising. Positive, motivating and God glorifying music fills my soul while my body is moving. Strengthening my temple. Clearing out impurities.
"Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body." 1 Corinthians 6: 19 - 20 (NLT)
Your body is a gift from God. Exercise helps to keep your body in top shape equipping you with energy to live out your calling God placed in you. Next time you need a fresh idea, new vision, clarity or that plot twist get outside and walk, go to your gym, dance around the house and be prepared for the provision.
